Paige & Max
The funniest thing to me about living in Virginia is the reaction to snow. I've learned that everything, and I mean everything, shuts down after approximately 7 snow flurries. The roads get salted preemptively but after the snow comes down, it's basically every man for himself. I've seen exactly 0 snow plows since living in Harrisonburg, which means that people drive even slower than before (southern drivers kill me). The week before Christmas when we got several inches of snow, I lent my snow scraper to strangers in my apartment complex twice and watched two separate people wipe the snow off their vehicles with kitchen brooms. To say the least, the snow down here is quite entertaining.
So when the snow accumulated and I felt like I was back home in PA, I recruited these two adorable humans to help me practice shooting in the snow. You can look below and form your own opinions, but I've come to the conclusion that shooting in the snow is SO FUN. It gives every photo a fun and lighthearted vibe and makes for some stunning backgrounds. These two were such troopers for me and even though our fingers were frozen by the end of the hour.
Winter has never been my favorite season. However if the snow allows for photos like this - I've decided that it's not so bad after all :)
