Surprise Proposal in Pittsburgh
This proposal was one of my favorite shoots to date, with the sweetest couple, the most beautiful sunset, and all the gorgeous pink tones of summer *insert heart eyes emoji here*. Tony reached out to me a few months earlier and told me his game plan - he was going to print out photos of him and Anna over the past few years and line the walkway down to the fountain at Point State Park with them for her to see. And at the bottom, right in front of the fountain, he would be waiting to propose to her.
So when the date finally came, I met up beforehand with Tony to talk through a few details and make sure he was in the best possible position, light-wise (which is one of the reasons I suggest hiring a professional photographer for your proposal like Tony did, because we can tell you exactly where to stand for the best background, composition, and lighting to make your proposal photos EPIC). When I asked him what ruse he had told Anna to get her downtown and to meet him at the Point, tony laughed and admitted that he had TOLD Anna he was going to propose to her that evening! But then he laughed again and also admitted that he had been telling her the same thing for the past week, so she most likely didn't believe him. In fact, when Tony told Anna he was proposing earlier that day, she was obviously skeptical and responded with, "You wouldn't propose to me on a Wednesday." But you know what? It was the best and most beautiful Wednesday proposal ever (and also sorry Anna, it was my fault we had to schedule on a Wednesday with my busy summer schedule!!). Tony even made sure to get both of their families down to Pittsburgh to secretly watch from afar and to celebrate afterwards. Ladies, take note here. Find yourself a man like Tony, because that boy did everything right!
My heart is truly melting at these photos, and I am just so blessed and honored that I was able to capture this moment for Tony and Anna. Proposals are so special and every day I'm so thankful I get to be a part of such special moments in my clients' lives. Sending all my love, always.
