Delaney & Garrett
This engagement session started out in the best way possible - a few days after inquiring about a session, Delaney asked me the Crucial Question: "Can I bring my dog?"
If you know me, then you know that my immediate reaction to seeing any type of dog in any type of setting is to gasp dramatically and then immediately try and make eye contact with said dog in order to initiate friendship and therefore pets and smooshes. So when Delaney asked if Fletcher could debut in a few of her and Garrett's engagement photos, I nearly passed out in excitement (needless to say, at that point I had been stalking Fletcher for over a year on Instagram and Snapchat - sorry not sorry, Delaney).
When it was time for Fletcher's cameo, I had to keep reminding myself that I was shooting an engagement session and not a pet session, because, let me tell you - the camera loves that lil fluffball (and the adorable bandana his mom bought him just for this occasion!).
And even better, Fletcher must have learned his photogenic skills from his parents, because the camera also loved Delaney and Garrett. Honestly, they couldn't shoot a bad photo if they tried (see below for proof of this). I had such a great time romping through the local hiking trails and fields with them, I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening or a more easy-going and relaxed couple. They made my job a piece of cake!
P.S. At this time I would like to send a personal shout out to the lady we followed down the hiking trail who was using skiing poles as walking sticks - the amusement you provided us rendered some amazing candid photos :)
Candidly,
Katie :)
