Anna Mae is one of those amazing humans who trusted me enough to ask me to take her family photos in the infant stages of my photography. Needless to say, I still had a lot to learn at that point - yet, thankfully, she loved me enough to keep coming back afterwards! I've taken the Matthews family photos, holiday photos, and now Anna Mae's beautiful maternity photos. And in May, I'll be joining them once again to take their newborn photos once the twins arrive (yes,TWINS!).
Early last October when I started advertising my 2020 Holiday Mini sessions, Anna Mae asked if I would help them reveal some huge news - they were pregnant! And they wanted their holiday photos to be the first time extended friends and family found out, so we planned and plotted their photo reveal - they even had an adorable little sign made. About a month or so later, Anna Mae called me from the car on the way home from a doctor's appointment - and I nearly peed my pants when she told me she was HAVING TWINS!
Ever since I've known Anna Mae, she's always been the mother of our friend group - a natural. For as long as I've known her (for about six years now) she's always wanted to be a mom, and I have absolutely zero doubts that she's going to be the best mother to these little baby girls when they arrive! I'm once again honored and humbled that she keeps coming back to me for my photography and am thrilled to help her document her sweet little family.
The river was gorgeous, the sun popped out, and Anna Mae's dresses were absolutely FLAWLESS. (In fact, a little girl even ran up to us at one point and asked Anna Mae, with true youthful innocence, if she was a princess. I practically sobbed at how pure the entire interaction was.) I couldn't have asked for a better shoot. Oh and the best part - afterwards, we ate sushi in the park and caught up! It was amazing. Pure happiness.
