Big Family = Big Love
The Grumskis are definitely the biggest family I've photographed yet (and probably the best dressed, too - just look at that outfit coordination!). When some family members live out of state, it's a big deal when everyone gets back together, so I'm happy I was able to catch them all together for our shoot. Especially when the little ones are growing so fast and a new baby cousin was born just a few months prior!
I'd have to say my favorite part of this shoot was listening to the chorus of Baby Shark being frantically sung behind me in order to convince a cranky toddler to smile for my camera (I still can't get that song out of my head). However, it definitely worked, because the photos we made together are so precious!
It was such a great experience to photograph this extended family because instead of just the typical mom-dad-child dynamic that I typically see, I got to see grandma and grandpa being so proud of their grandchildren, the cousin running around like crazy together, and godparents interacting with their godchildren, as well.
The holiday season is all about being thankful. So I'm thankful for all the twists and turns in my life that have brought me to this place I'm at now, getting to capture love and joy of so many families from behind my camera. So enjoy, friends :)
